The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in Kebbi State, Haruna D. Saidu, has called on the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission, (KSIEC) to cancel all the results generated and transmitted to its office from the areas where there were reported cases of violence, ballot snatching and box stopping.
Saidu made this known on Sunday when he spoke with newsmen at a press conference to reveal the party’s positions on the outcome of the election.
He said the cancellation of the election results from the affected local government areas such as Ngaski, Maiyama, Dandi, Shanga and Argungu was necessary as there were reported cases of nicked violence, irregularities and electoral malpractice in those places.
He further alleged that some political thugs, bandits and miscreants were imported from unknown destination by APC during the poll to Kebbi state, with intention to cause chaos on the innocent citizens who determined to cast their votes in favour of PDP.
“The result pattern adopted by APC is to win this election by hook or crook, this is very dangerous for the survival of our society”
“We are calling on all institutions and those in authorities, especially, KSIEC, to declare null and void all results that will be submitted to it especially, those local government areas where election did not take place, snatching of ballot boxes, usage of bandits and hoodlums to harass and assault people” he said.

As at the time of filling this report, the state electoral umpire, KSIEC, was yet to announce any results as none of its officers was around with results.
The newsmen who were in the state to monitor the exercise were yet to be addressed by the electoral umpire, what caused the delay in the pronouncement of results collated or transmitted at local government level to its office in Birnin Kebbi.
