Gifting Volunteer Network (GVN), a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) has called on well meaning Nigerians and non Nigerians, especially, the philanthropists and financial donors in footing the medical bill of a young lad, Oladele Owolabi, who has been suffering from deformity of both feet (from the birth) and severe infection of the left foot in the past one year.
The 22 year old Owolabi, who is critically down on hospital bed with foot infection was previously cared for by his mother, a pauper, who only survives by her minor trade before GVM’s intervention.
According to the official of the organization, a detailed evaluation has been carried out on Owolabi’s health challenge and the only medical advice untreathned at the moment for him was to go for knee amputation and prosthetic fillings.
Speaking with our reporters via video call under severe pains, the 200 levels student of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo State, Owolabi, has appealed to every kindhearted Nigerians both at home and in diaspora for financial assistance to pay the medical bill of his infectious foot.
“I appeal to every Nigerian in supporting me financially with cash donations to enable easy payment of my medical bill. The bill is amounted to N1,370,000, so far, we are only garnered N100,000. I need the help of every single Nigerian in order to get back to my feet” he said.
