A body of Concerned Citizens of Iwo, popularly known as Iwo Liberal Group (ILG), has joined other eminent Nigerians, particularly Iwo sons and daughters to congratulate five Iwo born appointees; Alh. Liad Tella, Dr. Adebayo Lasisi, Dr. Toafeek Adekunle, Alh. Kola Uzamat and Hon. Kamoru O. Alao on their appointments as Chairman and Members of Governing Council of the Federal owned higher institutes of learning across the country.
The group, in a statement issued on Sunday and jointly signed by its principal officials; Alhaji Adisa Muritala Kulukulu, ( President); Prince Adediran Adeyinka J (Secretary) and Alhaji Mukaila Emiloju (Treasurer), said that appointments of the above five mentioned Iwo’s indigenes into learning environment in Nigeria by President Buhari led administration is a testament to their years of vast experience and track record performance already achieved in various chosen careers.
According to the group, their appointments into Nigerian academy domain is a nicked truth that the town has competent, capable and qualified hands to take responsibility at all levels of human endeavours. Therefore, it is not over statement to acknowledge the current administration in redressing age-long neglect and marginalization of the area by previous administrations.
